{"id":300,"date":"2017-06-22T10:51:29","date_gmt":"2017-06-22T14:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ancientislands.org\/conservation\/?p=300"},"modified":"2017-06-22T10:51:29","modified_gmt":"2017-06-22T14:51:29","slug":"swiftmud-events-coming-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ancientislands.org\/?p=300","title":{"rendered":"Swiftmud Events Coming Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Southwest Florida Water Management District has scheduled a couple of events of local interest.\n<\/p>\n<p>The monthly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swfwmd.state.fl.us\/calendar\/2017\/6\/\">Governing Board<\/a> meeting will be held Tuesday, June 27, at  9 a.m. at its Brooksville headquarters.\n<\/p>\n<p>Items of local interest include a consent order with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.polkpa.org\/CamaDisplay.aspx?OutputMode=Display&amp;SearchType=RealEstate&amp;ParcelID=233003000000021340\">Conhagen Properties<\/a> in the Mulberry industrial park for permit violations and  approval of an easement to allow for the construction of a new boat ramp on Saddle Creek to allow boat  access to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake_Hancock\">Lake Hancock<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Polk County Commission approved the agreement Tuesday (June 20).\n<\/p>\n<p>Polk County officials expect to have the boat ramp completed by early next year.\n<\/p>\n<p>On July 12, Swiftmud officials will hold a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swfwmd.state.fl.us\/calendar\/2017\/7\/\">public meeting<\/a> at Lake Wales City Hall from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to receive comments on a proposal to set levels on Lake Easy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Southwest Florida Water Management District has scheduled a couple of events of local interest.
